LOS ANGELES, CALIF.-- Abacus Insurance Brokers, Inc., a Los Angeles-based program manager that distributes specialty insurance products online through, has launched an online Jewelers Block program.

The program is available in all 50 states on an admitted basis with an "A" rated XV carrier. Premiums start at $1,000.

The programs allow for the placement of retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers engaged in the jewelry trade. Coverage offerings include inventory and a multitude of other coverages such as office contents, tenant improvements, earthquake and flood. In addition, shipments, peak seasons, traveling salesmen and exhibitions can be scheduled.

“Abacus continues to expand its portfolio of online programs to include even more specialty programs,” says Darren Lewin, Abacus Vice President of Programs. “We were attracted to the Jewelers Block world based on our first hand experience of the inefficiencies in the current distribution model. With Abacus, brokers will spend less time engaged in back and forth with carriers and more time improving their client’s insurance experience and pursuing new business oppurtunities.

“We have created a first class product coupled with first class rates backed by an A+ XV admitted carrier. We are confident that well managed risks will find their way to our program through our vast network of more than 2,500 independent brokers.”
